Workers in Dong Nai Province are offered train tickets and Tet gifts on January 21.
They were among 1,450 workers who were given free train tickets to reunite with their families this Tet holiday.
According to the Binh Duong Provincial Confederation of Labour, all these workers have financial difficulties and haven't returned to their hometown for two consecutive years.
Besides the train tickets, the workers were also given Tet gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL).
Earlier on December 21, hundreds of workers in the two neighbouring provinces of Long An and Dong Nai were also given free train tickets to board on trains to return home.
According to VGCL, nearly 2,000 train tickets and 400 air tickets will be offered to workers and their family members to return to their hometown for the 2025 Tet Lunar New Year Festival.
"450 air tickets on two flights departing HCM City for Hanoi and Vinh City will be offered to workers and their family members to return home on January 25," VGLC said. "These workers have financial difficulties or have excellent performance during the year 2024. Of the 450 free air tickets, 400 are sponsored by VGCL and 50 others by the Vietnam Airlines Corporation.
