The price of biofuel E5 RON92 rose by VND380 to VND20,430 per litre, while RON95 increased by VND270, reaching VND21,010 per litre.
Diesel prices soared by VND490 to VND19,240 per litre, while kerosene increased by VND410 to VND19,240 per litre. Meanwhile, mazut prices rose by VND90 to VND16,180 per kilogramme.
The two ministries still decided not to use the petrol price stabilisation fund.
The price of RON 95 gasoline has risen two consecutive times after a previous drop. Currently, the fuel price is at its lowest in over three years, matching the level in July 2021. Since the beginning of 2024, gasoline has increased 26 times and decreased 27 times, while diesel has risen 24 times and fallen 28 times.
According to the General Department of Taxation, by the end of 2024, many petrol stations had not yet issued electronic invoices for each sale. The agency has set a goal that by the end of June this year, at least 95 percent of petrol stations nationwide will issue electronic invoices for every transaction.
