Snow covers a village in Y Ty Commune in Lao Cai Province on January 27.
On Monday morning, due to the cold air and temperatures dropping below zero degrees Celsius, many villages in Y Ty saw thick layers of snow.
The scenery has attracted lots of visitors who said that it was like they were somewhere in Europe.
A tourist, Pham Hong Dung, said that this was the first time she saw snow and she really enjoyed the scenery.
"My family is on a holiday here and we were lucky to see snow today," Dung said. "It was a stunning beauty."
Snow has also covered trees and grass on the top of Fansipan Mountain since Sunday afternoon.
