Each small star-shaped lantern costs between VND20,000-30,000, while the price for a large one is from VND50,000-250,000.

Nguyen Thanh Lam, a shop owner, said people are buying lanterns earlier than last year as the Covid-19 pandemic has been brought under control.

Luong Nhu Hoc is also a popular check-in spot for young people every Mid-Autumn.

The street often attracts people from 7-10 pm.


Dieu Huong from District 6 said that this is the first time she had brought her daughter to the street to buy lanterns. There are various kinds for her to choose.

The street, which has been in existence for more than 50 years, is open from morning until late at night and is not only where a traditional trade has been maintained but a popular spot in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting visitors from far and wide.
