Nine scientists receive first-ever Khue Van Cac Award

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee (HCYUCC) announced on November 12 a list of nine outstanding Vietnamese scientists who have won the first-ever Khue Van Cac Award.

The award aims to honour local scientists of less than 35 years old who are studying, researching, and working in the country or abroad and have recorded outstanding achievements in the fields of social sciences and humanities.

It also helps to inspire and promote the emulation movement of studying, scientific research, and apply achievements in social sciences and humanities, thereby contributing to the overall development of the country. It expects to mobiliseing all social resources for discovering, nurturing, and promoting young talents, thereby developing more high-quality human resources.

The HCYUCC revealed that this year, the winners had been selected among 55 talented candidates, all of whom are PhDs, Masters, Bachelors, and students.

Most of them are working in Vietnam, while two award recipients are living and working in Russia and the UK.
