More than 1,000 officers from units under the ministry and the Hanoi police force took part in the event on Le Quang Dao Street.

The programme included a parade of specialised vehicles, led by a traffic police command car responsible for escorting domestic and international delegations at major political and diplomatic events.

Amphibious armoured vehicles followed, while nearly 10 helicopters from the People’s Public Security Air Regiment flew overhead.

After the formal deployment, mobile police units demonstrated close-combat techniques and crime-suppression tactics.

Special police officers performed strength and endurance drills, as well as obstacle-clearing exercises and live-fire shooting in various positions.

Demonstrations also included scenarios simulating assaults on suspects barricaded inside fortified structures, with officers using terrain and cover to approach targets before breaching them with explosives.

According to authorities, the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is scheduled to take place in Hanoi from January 19 to January 25.
