Vietnam moves up 4 places in FIFA rankings

Vietnam’s national football team has climbed four notches to 133rd in the world Football Federation (FIFA) rankings for January.

The country ranked 19th overall in Asia and second in Southeast Asia.

Other team rankings in the region were Myanmar (141st in the world), Thailand (147th) and Malaysia (154th).

Iran took the lead in Asia, followed by Japan, the Republic of Korea, Uzbekistan, and the UAE.

The world’s top three remain unchanged, namely Germany, Argentina, and Colombia.

The next FIFA rankings will be released February 12.
