Among the attendants were VFF General Secretary Le Hoai Anh, VFF Chairman Le Hung Dung, JFA President Daini Kuniya and Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Hiroshi Fukada.
Under the deal, VFF and JFA agreed to support each other at regional and international football forums, exchange human resources for football development and provide assistance and training opportunities to national teams.
The two sides also pledged to share experience in football equipment management and football-related legal issues, while enabling each other’s trainers, referees and officials to attend seminars held in each nation to exchange knowledge in football.
VFF Chairman Dung and JFA President Daini voiced pleasure at the growing relations between Vietnamese and Japanese football over the past few years and expressed their belief that the co-operative programme would bring practical benefits to both sides.
Addressing the ceremony as a special invitee, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Hiroshi Fukada highly appreciated the fine relationship between VFF and JFA, saying that the sports exchange was expected to make a significant contribution to deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
He also hoped that the VFF-JFA signing would drive Asian football, including Japan’s and Vietnam’s, forward, contributing to heightening the continent’s sports status in the global arena.
