The first device was identified as a 750 lb GP M117 bomb, measuring 40.6cm in diameter and 120cm in length, with a weight of 334kg. The second was a 90 lb M82 fragmentation bomb, with a diameter of 15.3cm, a length of 71.1cm and a weight of more than 40kg.

Both bombs were heavily corroded, dated from the wartime period and were assessed as having significant destructive power.

Army engineers transported the devices to a remote area away from residential zones and destroyed them in accordance with technical safety procedures, the military command said.
