After finishing the meal, the two men quickly got out of the restaurant without making the payment

The restaurant camera showed that, after finishing the meal, the two men quickly got out of the restaurant without making the payment while the staff did not pay attention to them.

The owner said this was the first time he had seen such behaviour, so he was extremely surprised. He’d previously let people short of money pay their bills later.

The owner then posted the video as a warning and was not expecting to recover the payment.

The two men returned to the restaurant to apologise and repay their bill. They admitted they initially thought they could have got away with it, but the widespread publicity made it harder, so they wanted to make amends.
