Ba Vi Commune People’s Committee said the storm damaged homes, power systems and crops, with strong winds toppling electricity poles and trees. No casualties were reported.
Thanh Minh Thuan, chairman of the commune People’s Committee, said police, military and militia forces were mobilised to help residents repair roofs, clear fallen trees and coordinate with the power sector to restore electricity.
Local authorities plan to request financial support from the Quang Ngai provincial People’s Committee to assist affected households in repairing homes and resuming production.
