Three-metre python found wandering in residential area in Danang

Authorities in Danang safely captured a 3-metre, 15-kilogram python that had strayed into a residential neighbourhood in Son Tra Ward on October 16.

A 3-metre-long python weighing around 15 kilograms is discovered in a residential area of Son Tra Ward, Danang City, on October 16.

At around 4 pm, the Son Tra Ward Military Command received reports from local residents about the presence of the python in the Thanh Vinh residential area.

Local authorities quickly arrived at the scene and, with the help of residents, safely captured the animal. The python was temporarily kept at the headquarters of the Son Tra Ward Military Command for care.

On the morning of October 17, the python was handed over to the local forest protection unit to be released back into the wild in accordance with wildlife protection regulations.
