The scene of the accident
According to initial reports, the Hanoi-registered minibus collided with a Haiphong-registered tractor-trailer with a semitrailer while travelling through Tam Xuan Commune, Danang City at about 4.12 am.
Authorities have not yet identified the minibus driver. The tractor-trailer was driven by Bui Manh Thang, 43, from Haiphong City.
The collision crushed the front of the minibus and damaged the tractor-trailer. Three passengers died at the scene, while 10 others were taken to hospital. Their identities and injuries are being verified.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
