The tragic accident occurred on National Road 14 at 8 am when the truck driven by Hoang Van Nghia suddenly crashed into the house of Hoang Minh Tuan and some nearby stalls on the roadside.

The strong crash left Tuan's two sons, 18-year-old Hoang Minh Quang and 15-year-old Hoang Minh Dung, who was having breakfast at home, dead on the spot.

Nguyen Ba Chien, 57, was also badly hurt by the truck while buying sandwiches at a nearby bakery. Chien died shortly after that while being taken to a local hospital.

The crash caused severe damage to Tuan's house and seven stalls on the roadside.

The owner of the bakery said that she saw the truck rapidly approaching before it crashed into her stall seconds later.

The 36-year-old driver told the police he lost control after going down a slope and crashing into the houses. He tested negative for alcohol and drugs.

According to the Dak Nong Provincial Committee for Traffic Safety, another person also suffered injuries in the crash and is being treated in hospital.

"The accident occurred near a market in Dak R'la Commune, which previously saw several serious traffic accidents," the committee said. "In 2020, six people were also killed in a traffic accident in this area."
