On August 25, inspectors checked a footwear store on Dong Da–To Hien Thanh Street, a shopping hub for South Korean tourists. The shop was selling Crocs-branded sandals at only VND 50,000–70,000 (approximately USD 2–3) per pair, far below the price of genuine products.
Authorities counted nearly 3,000 pairs of sandals suspected to be fake. The shop owner failed to provide invoices or documents proving origin. Officials seized the entire stock and sent samples for trademark verification.
