Police in Thanh Hoa Province have busted three large-scale interprovincial and cross-border drug trafficking rings within just 20 days, arresting 26 suspects and seizing 71,000 methamphetamine tablets.
According to Thanh Hoa Police Department, on August 21 they broke up a trafficking ring moving drugs from Phu Tho to Thanh Hoa, led by Le Manh Linh, 31. Linh and nine accomplices were arrested, with 30,000 methamphetamine tablets confiscated.

In another case, officers detained Vu Anh Thang, 34, and Vi Van Nhan, 55, along with two others, seizing 21,000 methamphetamine tablets, three military-grade guns, 32 rounds of ammunition, 16 swords and other items.
Most recently, on September 4, police disrupted a cross-border ring smuggling drugs from Laos into Thanh Hoa, led by Tran Quoc Hoai, 51. Hoai and 11 others were arrested, with 19,500 methamphetamine tablets recovered.
Authorities said investigations into all three cases are ongoing.
