According to the Na Duong Forest Management Board, the langur often comes to the edge of the forest to seek food. When seen, the animal runs to the more rocky mountainous part of the reserve.
The langur found at Kim Hy Nature Reserve
Head of Kim Hy Nature Reserve Le Xuan Dieu said the agency had kept a close eye on the langur which is defined as the white-cheeked species. This is the first time this kind of langur has been spotted at the reserve.
The reserve has worked with Van Lang Commune’s authorities and the Na Duong Forest Management Board to take measures to protect the animal. Signage has been installed to call on people to protect the langur.
Kim Hy Nature Reserve has focused a plan to protect the rare and endangered langur species.
