PM Dung lands in Cuba

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung landed in Havana on March 26, beginning his two-day official visit to Cuba at the invitation of President of the State Council and Council of Ministers Raul Castro Ruz.

During the stay, PM Dung and host leaders will hold discussions on concrete steps to strengthen Vietnam – Cuba ties, including in economics, trade and investment. They will also talk about regional and global issues of shared interest.

Upon his arrival, the cabinet leader laid a wreath at a memorial dedicated to Cuban national hero Jose Marti.

Since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties in 1960, Vietnam and Cuba have strengthened mutual solidarity and all-around cooperation, especially through the regular exchange of high-level visits.

They have also maintained the working mechanism of the annual Inter-Governmental Committee.
