The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have jointly decided to reduce petroleum prices from 3 pm today, March 7.
As a result, the price of E5 RON 92 dropped by VND240 per litre to VND22,510 (USD0.97), while RON 95 saw a decrease of VND370 per litre to VND23,880 (USD1.03).
Diesel oil now costs VND20,470 per litre (USD0.88), a reduction of VND290.
This time, the ministries chose to apply the petrol price stabilisation fund to mazut oil only, allocating VND300 per kilo (USD0.013).
Since the beginning of the year, petroleum prices have risen six times and fallen four times.
