The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance raised the price of E5 RON 92 petrol by VND 720 per litre to VND 22,480, while E10 RON 95 increased by VND 670 to VND 23,270 per litre.
Diesel prices were cut by VND 340 to VND 27,740 per litre, while fuel oil fell by VND 500 to VND 17,640 per kg.
The authorities also decided to set aside VND 200 per litre for the fuel price stabilisation fund from diesel and fuel oil sales.
The latest adjustment marked a rebound in domestic petrol prices after a decline in the previous review, while oil prices were cut for a second consecutive time. Vietnam's fuel prices remain lower than those in other countries in the region.
