One dead, two crew in coma of docked Panama ship

Authorities in the northern central province of Thanh Hoa are investigating how one crew member died and two others fell into comas on a Panama cargo ship while anchored at Nghi Son Port.

Authorities in the northern central province of Thanh Hoa are investigating how one crew member died and two others fell into comas on a Panama cargo ship while anchored at Nghi Son Port.

The crew members are taken from the ship

According to the Border Guard Command of Thanh Hoa Province, the three crew members were found in a coma at around 10:45 am, on April 9, on the Panamanian cargo ship Vigor SW.

Nghi Son Port Border Guard Command worked with other agencies to provide first aid to the three crew members and then took them to a local hospital for emergency treatment. However, one of them died at noon the same day. Two others are still being treated at the hospital.

Initial investigations showed that the three victims are Chinese nationals, whose identities remain unknown.
