Children in the northernmost mountain province of Ha Giang are very happy and excited in the first days of the new school year which started early in late August.
On the way to their schools they hold textbooks and notebooks in hands or carry them in bags over their shoulders.
They are all smiles despite setting off on foot from their home over the hills a few kilometers far away.
