As many as 119 people in Vietnam are dead or missing so far this year due to natural disasters, according to the Central Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.
The Central Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control reported that natural disasters had totally destroyed 440 houses and damaged 7,000 others and had damaged over 200,000 hectares of crops in the country since early this year.

Most storms would ravage Vietnam between October and November.
Rainfall in the northern, central and Central Highlands regions from now to the year-end would be higher than that of many previous years, bringing about landslides, inundation and flash floods.
