The villas were built on an 18.9-hectare site in Duong To Commune

Earlier, two villas were demolished by authorities.

According to Anh, for the 70 remaining villas, local authorities are completing procedures to recoup the public land.

The villas were built on an 18.9-hectare site in Duong To Commune. The land was part of a local preventive forest. The case was then reported to Phu Quoc City’s People’s Committee.

Four months ago, Kien Giang set up a task force to inspect the encroachment of public land.
