Noi Bai International Airport

Vietnam Airlines have resumed some international flights connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with South Korea, Japan, and Australia since April 3. Low-cost carrier VietJet has also resumed services to Taiwan and Thailand.

However, as social distancing is applied, many people who want to travel overseas for work and study can't go to airports. Drivers from other provinces also refused to carry passengers to Noi Bai Aiport since they will be quarantined for 14 days after returning from Hanoi.

The Ministry of Transport asked local authorities to let the passengers go through the checkpoints. The passengers must show their passports, visas, plane tickets, and the certificates showing that they have tested negative for Covid-19.

Carpooling is banned unless the passengers are family members who will all go on the same trip.

The drivers are banned from picking up any passengers on their way back from the airports. They must also return to their home province immediately and not travel elsewhere midway.
