The Muong Thanh Group’s fireworks show at the firm’s Safari Land in Nghe An Province on October 29
A clip on the fireworks display has gone viral on the internet these days. A staff from Muong Thanh Group’s communications board, Dieu Anh, revealed that the event was held at the firm’s Safari Land Ecological Park in Nghe An Province on the occasion of the opening ceremony of Muong Thanh Congress.
According to Anh, Muong Thanh had signed a contract with Binh Minh International Trading JS Company to organise the fireworks show. Under the contract, Binh Minh pledged to seek permission for the event.
However, Truong Xuan Hong, head of Dien Lam Commune’s police board, said that, “We have received the signed contract for the event and firework purchase bill only, but not the license granted by management agencies. We have sent the case to the district police.”
Under the government’s regulations, firework displays are held on national holidays and big-scale tourism and cultural festivals. In all other cases, the right to hold a fireworks display has to be decided by no lesser official than the prime minister.
Any locality which wants to organise the firework displays have to send its proposal to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and then the ministry will submit this to the prime minister for consideration.
