At about 8.30 pm, officers found Ta La Quan placing tables and chairs across the pavement for customers and issued a violation notice for illegally using sidewalks for food and drink services.
About 10 minutes later, patrol officers inspected premises at 303 Pham Van Dong Street and found Garden Station setting out multiple tables and chairs on the pavement. Authorities drew up an administrative penalty and ordered staff to immediately remove the furniture.

Continuing inspections along the route, police identified and dealt with several other venues using pavements for business purposes, particularly near the railway section. This stretch has a high concentration of bars with large numbers of customers, where seating frequently spills onto sidewalks.

“For this violation, individuals face a fine of VND 2.5 million (about USD 100), while businesses can be fined VND 5 million (about USD 200),” an officer said. He added that inspections and enforcement against violations of urban order and illegal use of roads and pavements would be intensified in the coming period.
