According to the ministry, to date, nearly 260 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been used for people aged from five years old. Around 60 percent of children aged between five to 12 years old have been given a second Covid-19 vaccine shot. The rate is as high as 75 percent for people aged 12 years old and above.
The Ministry of Health has asked localities nationwide to vaccinate children aged between six months old to five years old against Covid-19
Under the ministry’s instructions, localities need to check the number of children from six months to five years old for vaccination. They also have to propose the vaccine demand for this group to the regional institutes of hygiene and epidemiology or Pasteur institutes before September 30.
These institutes are responsible for reporting local recommendations to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology before October 10.
