Chairman of the municipal people’s committee Phan Van Mai has signed a document to urge the city’s departments, agencies and localities to boost public investment.
HCM City’s public investment disbursement reached an estimated VND369 billion (153.63 million) in the first two months of this year
HCM City has set a target to disburse over 95 percent of VND70 trillion.
Last year, HCM City fulfilled around 70 percent of the city’s public investment plan.
Following Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s instructions, HCM City has taken multiple measures to quicken the pace of public investment disbursement. The city has concentrated on supervising the speed of implementing the capital plan and disbursement; establishing three teams to support project implementation and asking concerned agencies to help lift hindrances to disbursement.
The city will consider shortening the time for public investment procedures by at least 30 percent.
