The proposed sites are located in Saigon, Tan Dinh, Ben Thanh, Cau Ong Lanh, Ban Co, Xuan Hoa and Nhieu Loc wards.

According to the HCM City Department of Agriculture nd Environment, the sites have not yet been developed and are suitable for temporary green spaces. Most have prime locations in the city centre that remain fenced off or idle due to stalled or legally complex projects.
Among them, the land plot on Vo Van Tan Street has long been unused, while a 6,200-square-metre cluster at Nguyen Du-Chu Manh Trinh was previously allocated for a commercial project but later reclaimed by the city.
During this year’s Tet holiday, in addition to the nine sites, Ho Chi Minh City is also sprucing up Le Loi Boulevard, the area around Ben Thanh Market, as well as Dong Khoi Street and Nguyen Hue Boulevard, among other central locations.
