Many streets in Ho Chi Minh City saw traffic jams on Monday morning as people returned to work and schools after the Tet Lunar New Year holiday.


A long line of vehicles waited at the traffic lights at the An Phu and Mai Chi Tho junction in Thu Duc City at 7am on January 30.


Some streets leading to the city centre like Dien Bien Phu also faced congestion.

Vehicles moved slowly on Thu Duc City-Ho Chi Minh City direction on the Saigon Bridge

At the traffic lights on Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street.

Traffic jams, however, only occurred for a short time during the morning rush.
