Giang said that he learned the business model on his tour to Thailand. When he came to a laundry shop in Thailand, he was quite surprised to see it also offered coffee for customers while they were waiting.

Giang's coffee shop has been put into operation for three years
He has run a similar concept on Bat Su Street for three years.
He considered various combinations of coffee and nail parlour or children’s entertainment services. However, he did not choose them as these models need more space and were costlier. Giang instead preferred a cafe and laundry.
“I have considered ways to deodorise the washing machines and reminded my staff to clean the shop carefully so the customers find the interior pleasant,” Giang added.
Clothes will be washed, dried and then folded before being given back to customers.
Duong Hong Minh, 26, a regular customer of the shop said that he really liked the scent of the shop’s washing liquid. According to Minh, drinks at the shop are quite good and were reasonably priced.
Every day, Giang’s shop serves dozens of customers, bringing him a monthly revenue of around VND60 million (USD2,586).
Staff member Tran Mai Anh said besides tourists, many gym and spa facilities in Hanoi also use the shop’s laundry service.
The shop has four staff with two serving coffee, with the other two concentrating on laundry.
Giang plans to expand the model to Danang and HCM City in the coming time.
