Hanoi adjusts bus and metro services for National Day celebration

Hanoi has adjusted several bus and metro routes to better serve the National Day holiday.

The Hanoi Transport Management Centre asked bus operators to suspend 18 routes, including lines 24, 23, 31, 38, some City tour lines, and E-routes, due to traffic diversions for the parade rehearsal on the evening of August 27.

Hanoi adjusted the routes of 51 bus services during the traffic diversion for the parade rehearsal, including the 16, 01, 03A, 30, 33, 27, 51, 42, 161, E02, E03, and 48. Hanoi also redirected 39 bus lines to turn back early.

One more bus line was added to connect with Cat Linh Station (route 35A), and three services were added to connect with Cau Giay Station (routes 22A, 50, and 107) to help ease passenger flow.

Additionally, Hanoi revised 31 bus routes, with changes to the 35A, 25, 43, 50, and 26 services, starting from the traffic diversion period.

Services were adjusted and operating hours extended until 10 pm to midnight on 26 bus routes, including the 72, 123, 27, 49, 124, E01, E04, E06, E09, E02, 08A, 08B, 09B, 21A, 02, 22A, 32, 107, BRT01, 20A, 58, 28, 62, 91, 102 and 114.

More bus routes have also been arranged to ease passenger flow at Cat Linh and Cau Giay metro station, as well as the Long Bien transfer point.

Hanoi Metro has extended service on its metro lines until midnight (5.30 am to 12 am). On the Cat Linh-Ha Dong metro route, trains will run every 6 minutes and 30 seconds from 10 am to midnight, and every 10 minutes at all other times.

The company is prepared to deploy additional trains if necessary and plans to operate extra trips after midnight to ensure all passengers are transported.

For the Nhon-Hanoi Station metro route, trains operate every 6 minutes from 10 am to midnight and every 10 minutes at other times, with extra trains ready to be deployed if required.

Additionally, mobile ticket counters will be installed on the first and second floors of the stations to alleviate congestion.
