Binh Han Ward authorities fined a student VND3.5m for avoiding home isolation. Nguyen Duc Lam, chairman of Binh Han People's Committee said on August 16 that the student, born in 2000, was asked to self isolate at home from August 12 to 16. However, he left home at 6 am on August 15 to his rented room in Gia Lam District, Hanoi, to do homework and returned home at 11.58 am.
Binh Han authorities have continued raising public awareness and tightened monitoring as well as applying stricter punishments for violators.
The authorities in Thanh Binh, Thach Khoi, Tu Minh, Le Thanh Nghi and Binh Han wards reported that they have issued administrative fines to 13 people out of 19 people who failed to submit medical declaration forms. Several violators are still underage to be held financially responsible.
After receiving reports from the locals, the police in Hai Duong had found a group of people gathered at The Gioi Bo Tuoi Restaurant to party. Only four out of 23 people at the party filed medical declaration forms.
