Fuel prices increase for the third consecutive time

Fuel prices in Vietnam have risen for the third consecutive adjustment in the April 3 pricing review by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

According to the latest announcement, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline has increased by VND340 per litre, reaching VND20,370 per litre, while the price of RON 95 gasoline has risen by VND490 per litre, now reaching VND20,910 per litre.

Similarly, diesel and other fuel prices have also been adjusted upwards. Diesel has increased by VND260 per litre to VND18,470 per litre, kerosene has risen by VND210 per litre to VND18,730 per litre, and mazut oil has gone up by VND120 per kilo, reaching VND17,020 per kilo.

This marks the third consecutive price hike for RON 95 gasoline in Vietnam. Despite these increases, fuel prices remain at their lowest in nearly four years, comparable to July 2021. Since the beginning of the year, RON 95 gasoline has been adjusted upward eight times and reduced six times, while diesel has seen seven increases and six decreases.
