Fuel prices continue to fall

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have announced a reduction in retail fuel prices, effective from 3 pm today, April 17.

After the adjustment, E5 RON 92 is priced at VND18,490 (USD0.74) and RON 95 at VND18,850 per litre, down by VND390 and VND350 respectively.

Diesel and kerosene prices were cut by VND210 and VND230 per litre to VND17,030 and VND17,180 per litre, respectively. Meanwhile, mazut rose by VND60 per kilogramme to VND15,960 per kilogramme. 

The two ministries did not not use the Petrol Price Stabilisation Fund for this adjustment.

So far this year, RON 95 petrol has risen and fallen eight times since the start of the year.

RON 95 petrol prices have dropped for two consecutive times, reaching their lowest level in four years, equal to prices recorded in April 2021.
