Thai Nguyen Province’s police have arrested four workers accused of causing violence and damage at a local Samsung factory on January 9.

Four workers accused of inciting violence arrested
They made the decision after investigating videos taken during the incident as well as documents and evidence collected from the scene.
Those arrested included Bui Xuan Khanh Dat, 27, from Nghe An Province; Dang Thanh Hai, 32, from Thai Nguyen Province, Do Van Thuan, 24, from Ha Nam Province and Kieu Van Quang, 28, from Hanoi.
They were arrested for allegedly causing public disorder as they directly caused the violence at a Samsung factory in Pho Yen District. Prosecution procedures have begun.
On January 9, an argument broke out between a guard and a worker who did not bring his work card. The guard hit the worker, rendering him unconscious, which angered the worker's colleagues. About 10,000 surrounded the scene and the guards.

Police called to the factory after the violence
Five containers and 22 motorbikes were burned during the clash. Even after police from Thai Nguyen Province and Pho Yen District arrived, they had to deal with the throwing of stones and general chaos. The incident caused 11 guards and two police officers to be injured. They were taken to Pho Yen General Hospital and 91 Military Hospital while several assets including worker and security tools were destroyed.
The police are continuing their investigation into the case.
