The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism suspended entertainment activities during the two-day national mourning for Do Muoi, former general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee on October 6-7.

The Vietnam Airlines Classic - Hanoi Concert 2018 will be held on October 5 instead of October 6 at the Ly Thai To Park as planned earlier.
A dispatch issued on October 4 by the ministry also asked state agencies across the country as well as Vietnamese offices abroad to fly flags at haft-mast during the two days.
Individuals and delegations can pay attribute to the former leader at the National Funeral Hall, 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi, where he is laid in state, and Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City.
The people’s committees of provinces and centrally-run cities should direct and guide organisations, individuals and entertainment facilities to delay art and sports events as well as entertainment activities in their localities during the two-day mourning.
In Hanoi, the local Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced that the Hanoi Food Festival 2018 which was previously planned to be held from October 5-7 would be moved to October 11-14 at Thong Nhat Park.
