As part of the forum, the Vietnam ESG Awards 2025 will also take place.

Editor-in-Chief of Dantri Newspaper, Pham Tuan Anh, launches the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025 Organising Committee on April 23.
ESG Forum 2024 a big success
In his closing remarks at the first Vietnam ESG Forum on April 23, Pham Tuan Anh, Editor-in-Chief of Dantri Newspaper and Head of the Forum’s Organising Committee, expressed sincere gratitude for the support and collaboration from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, as well as many other ministries, domestic and international organisations, scholars, experts, and businesses.
Since the forum was first launched in May 2024, it has served as a platform for stakeholders to share and discuss critical issues relating to sustainable development across the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) pillars. Many experts and organisations contributed practical insights and solutions, helping foster a valuable exchange of knowledge on ESG implementation.
"Despite being held for the first time, the forum received unexpectedly strong interest from the business community, far beyond what we initially envisioned," Anh said.
He acknowledged that as a debut event, there were some inevitable shortcomings. However, the forum provided many valuable lessons for improvement in future editions.
Forum 2025: Science and technology in the spotlight
Building on the success of the inaugural forum, Dantri officially launched the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025, with a strong focus on science and technology as core drivers of sustainable growth in the modern era.
The forum’s organising committee head noted that many discussions during the first forum underscored the critical role of science and technology in advancing sustainability. This emphasis aligns with Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo, which identifies innovation, digital transformation, and science and technology as key development drivers.
“We are living in an era where technological advancements, like AI and IoT, present tremendous opportunities to address social challenges and build a greener, more sustainable future,” he stressed.
The upcoming forum aims to tackle key questions, such as: how can businesses leverage technology to improve environmental performance and reduce negative impacts; how can technology help address social challenges such as poverty reduction, education, healthcare, and sustainable employment, and how can technology enhance transparency, accountability, and governance effectiveness?
Vietnam ESG Awards 2025 to recognise tech-driven sustainability
A major highlight of the 2025 Forum will be the Vietnam ESG Awards, which will honour outstanding businesses that have effectively integrated science and technology into their ESG practices.
The Organising Committee believes that recognising exemplary companies will inspire and motivate more organisations to act for a better future.
With the success of the inaugural forum, Dantri aims to expand the reach and impact of the Vietnam ESG Forum in subsequent years, shaping it into a hub for ESG collaboration and a network for sustainable business development in Vietnam.
The Vietnam ESG Awards 2025 is expected to spotlight high-quality enterprises that showcase innovation and responsibility, particularly in the application of technology for national advancement in the digital era.
“Dantri is committed to ensuring the success of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025 and the Vietnam ESG Awards 2025. We call on ministries, local authorities, businesses, scientists, social organizations, and the media to actively participate and contribute to building a high-quality, impactful forum,” Anh affirmed.
