| The PM has urged the Ministry of Finance to provide nearly 9,880 tonnes of rice from the national reserves for seven provinces during the upcoming traditional Tet Festival. |
Accordingly, Lai Chau will get 2,034 tonnes, Thanh Hoa 1,060 tonnes, Quang Nam 2,000 tonnes, Binh Dinh 2,000, Kon Tum 390 tonnes, Dak Lak 2,000 tonnes and Phu Yen 395 tonnes.
The Prime Minister has asked the recipients to distribute relief aid to the needy people as soon as possible.
Earlier, the PM decided to allocate 12,550 tonnes of rice for five other provinces - Cao Bang, Lao Cai Nghe An, Quang Ngai, and Ha Tinh.
