The turtles seized in Nghe An
The Save Vietnam's Wildlife said on April 5 that they had co-operated with Nghe An Prolice to send 59 big-headed turtles to the Pu Mat National Park.
The animals were detained from a wild animal smuggling case in Dien Chau District.
According to a report from the police, they found 34 big-headed turtles being transported by two men, Nguyen Trong Duc and Nguyen Van Dung. Searching Dung's residence, police discovered 38 more rare animals, including 35 big-headed turtles and three pangolins. From the collection, 25 turtles and pangolins were dead.

A vet from Save Vietnam's Wildlife check the animal's health.
The two men have been detained for illegally transporting endangered, precious and rare animals in large quantities.
The case is under further investigation.
