According to a report from local authorities, the accident occurred at 4 am when the truck hit a motorbike carrying two women near Nhat Tan Bridge.
The intense crash left the two women dead on the street. The truck driver was also found dead in his cabin with serious injuries.
Some traffic sign boards and street light poles were damaged in the accident.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Vo Nguyen Giap Street connects the city centre with Noi Bai Airport. The six-lane street allows speeds of 90 km/h.
