The pavement around Ngoc Khanh Lake will be paved with natural granite. More trees, outdoor seats and lights will be added in the area along with dustbin and toilet arrangement.

The highlight of the street is several details and symbols reminiscent of the Giang Vo School which was a site for military training during the Ly and Tran dynasties.

Hanoi is now home to five walking streets, at Hoan Kiem Lake and its surrounding area, Trinh Cong Son, Ngu Xa, Tran Nhan Tong and Son Tay Citadel.

The city has also planned to open two more walking streets at the Temple of Literature and Hoang Cau-Hao Nam in Dong Da District.
