The fund will provide immediate support and long-term development projects for residents of flood-hit areas.
After launching the fund, Dantri received donations from many individuals and organisations, including actress Mai Thanh Ha, who sent VND100 million to support the victims.
Speaking with Dantri, Ha said she was heartbroken to see the suffering people have been experiencing from the floods and landslides in many northern localities.
"I want to send them my love and donation to help them overcome this difficult time," she said. "Thank you, Dantri, for launching the fund to help us share with disadvantaged people and spread love among the communities."
