Binh Duong now has 8,880 medical staff, including 826 doctors at state-owned medical facilities. Since early 2021, up to 328 medical staff have left their job with the majority being nurses. The province has planned to recruit around 780 medical staff to cover the shortage.

According to Nguyen Hong Chung, Director of the provincial Department of Health, the province is applying special incentives to help recruitment. Doctors with a doctorate degree and those recognised as Level II specialists and resident doctors will be given a subsidy of VND600 million (USD25,862). Doctors with a bachelor's degree and recognised as Level I specialists will enjoy VND500 million. The subsidies ranging from VND400 million to VND450 million will be provided for other groups.
Binh Duong will also offer some other assistance, including accommodation, for medical staff that agree to work in the locality.
The province also lacks roughly 2,500 teachers from nursery to high schools for the coming new school year. This is attributed to the sharp rise in migrants in the locality. Meanwhile, a large number of teachers have changed jobs after a long school closure during the Covid-19 pandemic.
