At least 16 people are injured after a passenger bus collided with a tractor trailer in Ninh Binh Province on January 6.
According to a report from local authorities, the accident occurred at 6.10 am on January 6 on the Cao Bo - Mai Son Expressway in Hoa Lu City.
The passenger bus driven by Le Ngoc Tinh, 45, crashed into the tractor trailer of driver Vu Nam Binh, 43, who was running in the opposite direction.
16 passengers on the bus were injured following the collision and have been sent to Ninh Binh Provincial General Hospital for treatment, including one facing critical conditions who has been transferred to a hospital in Hanoi.
The passenger bus was severly damaged in the crash.

The 15-km Cao Bo-Mai Son section belongs to the North-South Expressway. The four-lane section which allows a speed of 80 km/h has no emergency lane. It has been approved to be expanded to six lanes with a designed speed of 100-120 km/h this year.
