A poor and childless couple in the central province of Ha Tinh are facing the death risk due to their serious diseases.

Born in poor families, Nguyen Ngoc Dung and Trinh Thi Quy had to work very hard to support their parents. They met and got married in 2009. The couple dreamt of building a new house and having children.

Unluckily, one year after marriage, the husband was hospitalised. Doctors said that he suffered from liver failures which needed costly and long-term treatment. However, due to their financial difficulties, he had to return home.

Dung's condition has become more serious, causing him to be paralysed. He has to depend on his wife for his daily individual activities.

In 2014, Quy had a medical checks-up where doctors diagnosed her with haemangioma.

Their parents and relatives are very poor and very far from them, so, they now only live on the neighbours' help. Their small house is in a very bad condition and could collapse anytime.
