Cai Rong Fish Market by Bai Tu Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh is often crowded from early morning.
The market is open from 2 to 6 am every day. The market has been expanded, so traders no longer have to gather on the wharf like before.
After approaching the shore, fishermen are busy classifying seafood to bring to the market for sale. Many of them even have to use lights for work.
Most of the traders at the market are women.
“Seafood products here are the cheapest and best in Quang Ninh,” said Vu Thi Tinh who has been a trader at the market for 23 years.
The best-sellers at the market are usually shrimp, crabs, scallops, squid and tuna.
Cai Rong Fish Market also provides seafood for many northern localities.
The market attracts many tourists.
