Domestic retail petrol prices increased at 3 pm today, May 23, following the decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The price of biofuel E5 RON92 grew by VND160 to VND22,270 per litre, while RON95 rose by VND80 to VND23,210 per litre.

Diesel prices fell by VND40 per litre to VND19,830. Meanwhile, kerosene prices increased by VND200 per litre to VND19,900.

The petroleum stabilisation fund was not used during this round of adjustments, except for mazut oil.

Due to its infrequent use, businesses that are part of the petroleum stabilisation fund have recorded a large surplus. By May 16, Petrolimex recorded a surplus of VND3.07 trillion, followed by Petimex with VND460 billion and Saigon Petro with VND327 billion.
