At least ten train services will be cancelled to avoid Typhoon Yagi, which is forecast to hit northern and northern-central regions in the coming hours.

According to the Vietnam Railway Corporation (VRC), the ten affected train services are on routes connecting Hanoi-HCM City and Hanoi-Haiphong, including the SE11, SE12, LP5/HP2, LP8/7, HP1, LP2, and NA1/NA2 which was scheduled to operate between September 7 and September 12.

VRC has also asked concerned units to closely monitor and check local railroads in areas to be hit by the storm to prepare for repairs if needed.

Food and necessities must also be prepared for passengers if trains face interruptions during bad weather.
